The very first Prince of Persia game first came out on the Apple II back in 1989 and quickly came to be regarded as a classic. While the Prince didn’t have the range of moves modern players would be familiar with, he was impressive for the time, and able to jump gaps, climb up and lower himself down from ledges, and duel enemies with his sword. He was beautifully animated too, running, jumping, climbing and tip toeing with grace during his one hour quest to rescue his princess.
